Launcher Cannot Obtain Patching Information

Today when I tried to open my WoW launcher, it says “launcher cannot obtain patching information”. I thought it has something to do with my sucky connection. I restarted my modem but after reconnecting again, it said the same thing. A work around this is to go to your wow folder and open wow.exe instead of the launcher. This will get you inside World of Warcraft.
