Matt Mitrione remains undefeated as he blasts through veteran Tim Hague in a one-round drubbing of the Canadian heavyweight fighter. Before his fellow countryman, at Fort Hood in Killeen, Tex. during tonight’s “UFC Fight for the Troops 2″, Mitrione put on arguably the best performance of his career when he utilized his improved stand up abilities, courtesy of trainer Duke Roufus.
Mitrione stated that he wanted to emulate current UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and use the in-and-out movement coupled with effective punches and kicks. I’m sure Mitrione did the champ proud, as the 260-pound heavyweight bounced around on his toes, picking apart the equally large Hague, dropping the 4-time UFC veteran twice before finally pouncing on him for the TKO win.
