Verizon Press Conference, (The Orlando Sentinel – McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) – Verizon Wireless will offer the Apple iPhone in stores early next month.The announcement was made this morning during a highly anticipated press conference in New York.
This completes AT & T exclusive custody of the iPhone – much the phone company has had since 2007.
The iPhone will cost Verizon and 199 for 16 GB and 299 GB for 32 with a two-year contract.
“Today we work in partnership with industry giant, and it’s Apple,” Lowell McAdam, Verizon Chief Operating Officer and President, said at the announcement.
Starting February 3, current customers of Verizon can pre-order the iPhone. February 10, everyone will be able to order the iPhone online and in stores.
