Abbott Laboratories’ Similac Recall

Abbott Laboratories’ Similac Recall – Abbot Laboratories announced its volunteer recall of infant product, Similac for bug contamination. Abbot says that there is a “remote possibility” that they may contain small insect parts and beetle larvae.
According to reports beetles were found in the production area of one of the manufacturing facilities making Similac. Authorizes however inform the public that unlike Salmonella contamination, there is no immediate health risk from infants drinking the contaminated formula.
Babies who have eaten the contaminated formula affected by the Similac recall may experience symptoms including stomach ache or refusal to eat.
