Herschel Sims is a star high school running back that has committed to Oklahoma State for next year and even though he’s dealing with an injury now that has caused him to miss some big games, there’s still plenty to look forward to for Cowboys fans and here’s why.Sims doesn’t have a lot of size at the position but he is a strong player and makes the most of what size he does have. However, he has had issues staying durable and on the field so he’s going to have to continue to bulk up to withstand the wear and tear that comes with being a running back at the college level.
But getting back to the positives about Sims, he’s a quick back that can fool defenders and leaving them in the dust with his quickness. Not only that, but he’s a threat out of the backfield in the passing game and will demand attention from the defense on passing plays. He also bounces off of defenders and people have even compared his style to LaDainian Tomlinson’s.
